About the Awards
The Lonmin Design Innovation Award was set up ten years ago to recognise and reward outstanding design in platinum and to push the design standards of jewellery to greater heights.
To celebrate the competition’s tenth anniversary, for the first time a theme was set for this year’s contest, “Red Carpet Glamour” evoking Hollywood glamour of the 20’s and 30’s.
The winners, 8 in total divided into two categories for emerging and established designers, were selected from design drawings by a panel of top industry judges.

on the altar of cubism and the machine”, the design represents a literal re-
A truly luxurious combination of precious platinum and fine quality white diamonds, in a geometric cascade.
Entirely hand made, these ear pendants presented many technical challenges in their
construction, each corner and bend taking upwards of one hour to complete and polish
-
These are for pierced ears, with butterfly backs.
They have been exhibited and admired at the International Jewellery London exhibition in Earls Court and at an International Jewellery Show in Shanghai, China.
